How to Set Up a Microsoft 365 Account on Android for Calendar Only Print

Overview

This guide explains how to set up your Microsoft 365 account on your Android device so that only your Calendar syncs. All other items such as Mail, Contacts, Notes, and Tasks will be disabled.

Step 1 - Open Settings

  1. On your Android phone, open the Settings app
  2. Scroll down and tap Accounts (this may also be labeled Passwords & Accounts or Users & Accounts depending on your device)

Step 2 - Add Your Microsoft 365 Account

  1. Tap Add Account
  2. Select Exchange or Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
  3. Enter your full Microsoft 365 email address (example: you@yourcompany.com)
  4. Tap Next
  5. Enter your password and tap Sign In
  6. Complete any additional security verification such as multi-factor authentication if prompted

Step 3 - Choose What to Sync

  1. After signing in, you will see a list of sync options including Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes
  2. Turn on only Calendar
  3. Turn off everything else (Mail, Contacts, Tasks, Notes)
  4. Tap Done or Save

Step 4 - Access Your Calendar

  1. Open the native Calendar app on your Android device
  2. Your Microsoft 365 calendar will now appear and sync automatically

Notes

  • The exact menu names in Settings may vary slightly depending on your Android device manufacturer
  • If you do not see an Exchange or Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync option, your device may require the Microsoft Outlook app instead
  • Your calendar will continue to sync automatically in the background as long as the account remains active
