How to Add Your Microsoft 365 Email Account to Outlook on iPhone Print

Overview

This guide walks you through downloading the Outlook app and adding your Microsoft 365 email account on your iPhone.

Step 1 - Download the Outlook App

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone
  2. Search for Microsoft Outlook
  3. Locate the official Outlook app published by Microsoft Corporation
  4. Tap Get then Install - enter your Apple ID password or use Face ID/Touch ID if prompted

Step 2 - Open Outlook and Begin Setup

  1. Tap the Outlook app icon to open it
  2. The first time you open Outlook, you will be prompted to Add an Account automatically
  3. If you already use Outlook with another account, tap your profile picture in the top left corner, then tap the gear icon (Settings) and select Add Mail Account

Step 3 - Sign In to Microsoft 365

  1. Enter your full Microsoft 365 email address (example: you@yourcompany.com)
  2. Tap Continue
  3. You will be redirected to the Microsoft 365 sign-in screen
  4. Enter your password and tap Sign In
  5. Complete any additional security verification such as multi-factor authentication if prompted

Step 4 - Grant Permissions

  1. Outlook may request permission to access your contacts, calendar, and notifications
  2. Tap Allow to grant the necessary permissions for full functionality

Step 5 - Finish Setup

  1. Once your account is successfully added, you will be taken to your inbox
  2. Outlook will begin syncing your email, calendar, and contacts automatically
  3. You can now use Outlook to send and receive emails, manage your calendar, and stay connected

Notes

  • If sign-in fails, verify your credentials by logging into https://outlook.office.com first
