Overview
This guide explains how to set up your Microsoft 365 account on your iPhone so that only your Calendar syncs. All other items such as Mail, Contacts, Notes, and Reminders will be disabled.
Step 1 - Open Settings
- On your iPhone, open the Settings app
- Scroll down and tap Apps, then tap Mail
Step 2 - Add Your Microsoft 365 Account
- Tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account
- Select Microsoft Exchange
- Enter your full Microsoft 365 email address (example: you@yourcompany.com)
- Tap Next
- When prompted, tap Sign In and enter your password
- Complete any additional security verification such as multi-factor authentication if prompted
Step 3 - Choose What to Sync
- After signing in, you will see toggle options for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes
- Turn on only Calendars
- Turn off everything else (Mail, Contacts, Reminders, Notes)
- Tap Save
Step 4 - Access Your Calendar
- Open the Calendar app on your iPhone
- Your Microsoft 365 calendar will now appear and sync automatically
Notes
- These steps apply to iOS 16 and later - menu names may vary slightly on older versions
- Your calendar will continue to sync automatically in the background as long as the account remains active
- If you need Mail to sync as well, return to Settings > Apps > Mail > Accounts, select the account, and toggle Mail on
