How to Add Twilight I.T. as a Manager on Your Squarespace Account Print

Overview

This guide walks you through how to invite Twilight I.T. to manage your Squarespace website and/or domain. This allows us to assist with DNS management, domain transfers, and website changes without needing your personal login credentials.

What You Will Need

• Access to your Squarespace account email address and password
• A web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.)

Step 1 - Log In to Squarespace

1. Open your web browser and go to www.squarespace.com
2. Click Log In in the top right corner
3. Enter your email address and password
4. Click Log In

Step 2 - Determine Your Setup

Squarespace handles website and domain permissions differently depending on your setup. Please read both options below and follow the one that applies to you:

• Option A - Your domain is connected to a Squarespace website (most common)
• Option B - Your domain is standalone and not connected to a Squarespace website

Option A - Domain Connected to a Squarespace Website

If your domain is linked to a Squarespace website, follow these steps to invite Twilight I.T. as an Administrator, which grants access to both the website and domain settings including DNS.

1. Once logged in, click on your website from the list
2. In the left-hand menu, click Settings
3. Scroll down and click Permissions & Ownership
4. Click Invite Contributor
5. Enter the name Twilight I.T. and the email address domains@twilightit.com
6. Toggle on Administrator to grant full access
7. Click Send Invite

Option B - Standalone Domain (Not Connected to a Website)

If your domain is not linked to a Squarespace website, follow these steps to invite Twilight I.T. as a Domain Manager, which grants access to DNS settings and domain management.

1. Once logged in, click Domains from your main dashboard
2. Click on the domain you want to share access to
3. Click Permissions
4. Click Invite Domain Manager
5. Enter the name Twilight I.T. and the email address domains@twilightit.com
6. Click Send Invite

Step 3 - Confirm the Invitation Was Sent

1. After sending, you should see domains@twilightit.com listed under your permissions with a status of Invite Sent
2. Twilight I.T. will accept the invitation and reach out to confirm access

Notes

• As an Administrator or Domain Manager, Twilight I.T. can manage DNS settings and domain transfers but will not have access to your personal account credentials or billing information
• You can remove our access at any time by returning to Permissions and clicking Remove next to our name
